Pai Eats

Pai is paradise for vegetarians and vegans. We just had made the switch before coming to Pai, and the plant-based/veggie options were endless. (Some of our meat-eating friends even came to plant-based restaurants because the food was so good, to give you an idea.)

Walking Street Night Market:

This was basically our dinner spot every night. There are TONS of stalls lining up and down both sides of the street, with cheap and delicious worldly cuisines. Our favorites: mini pad Thai (10baht/US$.30) Mama Falafel wraps, Vegan salad/wrap lady at the end of the street, mini coconut pancakes (these are vegan! and 10baht/US$.30).

Ganita Café:

This was the first place we tried after the long bike ride to Pai! We wanted to celebrate with beer, and although they don’t sell alcohol, the Dutch owner was super nice and allowed us to buy our own and bring them inside to enjoy with dinner. We recommend the Mezze platter, falafel burger and “Happy Chicken” burger.

Blossom Café

One of our favorite lunch spots in Pai. At first, we came strictly because this place had a perfect 5.0 on Google Reviews (200+ reviews!) and we wanted to see what this place was all about. There are a lot of wellness cafes in and around Pai, that offer vegetarian/vegan food, smoothie bowls, and coffee. However, Blossom for us definitely had the best quality food and was the most flavorful. The menu is small but full of delicious choices, and the staff are all so personable and kind. The restaurant is small, but it was never too crowded whenever we were there. We recommend the Rainbow Goddess Salad, Tempeh burger, Sunshine bowl.. (everything!)

Earth Tone:

Another vegetarian/vegan restaurant that serves coffee, kombucha, smoothies, and delicious meals. They are only open for lunch, and close at 5PM, so make sure to get there early. They also have a holistic shop with all-natural products, remedies, and medicines which is very cool and worth a look. We recommend the Guacamole with homemade banana chips (sounds like a weird combo but it was amazing!), Pesto spaghetti with eggplant, Super salad, and the smoothies/fresh juices.

Art in Chai:

Cute little café in town that we grabbed coffee at. Great if you need to do some laptop work, or want a chilled out place to read a book. They have a live music/talent night a few nights a week which draws in big crowds. We recommend the chocolate brownie and the Butterfly Pea Tea (it changes colors once you add lemon to it!)
